Why Sharing the Gospel Matters More Than Ever ?

I wasn’t expecting a spiritual lesson while baking chicken. But God has a way of speaking to us in the most ordinary moments. It started with something simple— as I was baking some chicken, lost in my own thoughts, when my hand accidentally brushed against the scorching hot baking tray —ouch!—. The searing pain shot through me in an instant. I yanked my hand away, but the sting lingered.
And then a chilling thought hit me.
"If this tiny burn hurts so much, what about the fire of hell that never stops?"
I stood still for a moment, staring at my hand. It wasn’t a major injury, but it was enough to make me think. People joke about hell, talk about it casually, even say things like, "I'll party there with my friends." But if we can barely handle the burn from a baking tray, how could anyone endure an eternity of fire?
That moment in my kitchen turned into a wake-up call.
God's Love
The truth is, God never intended for us to go to that place. He knows how real and terrible it is, which is why He did something radical—He took our place. The Bible says, "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Jesus didn’t just talk about love—He showed it. He became sin for us. He took the punishment we deserved so that we wouldn’t have to experience that fire.
And yet, so many people ignore it. They live life as if there’s always more time. But the truth is, none of us know how many days we have left.
The Importance of Sharing the Gospel
Jesus didn’t just save us to keep this truth to ourselves. He commanded us to go out and preach the gospel (Mark 16:15)—even if it’s just to one person. I realized then that the pain I felt from that burn wasn’t just a moment of discomfort; it was a reminder, a warning, a wake-up call.
If we carry the love of Christ in our hearts, if we truly grasp what He saved us from, then we must feel the urgency to share this truth. Someone you know—a friend, a coworker, even a stranger—might be on the path to eternal separation from God. What if you’re the one person who can tell them about Jesus?
Life is Short, Eternity is Forever
The Bible says our life is like a vapor—here today, gone tomorrow (James 4:14). Compared to eternity, our time on earth is just a single breath. Today could be the last chance for someone to turn to Jesus.
And what about you? If you haven’t fully surrendered to Him, if you’re still standing on the edge, waiting for the "right moment"—this is it. He’s calling you. He paid the price for you. Heaven is real, hell is real, and the choice is yours.
A Thought to Take With You
Everything good and beautiful comes from God. Hell is the absence of all that goodness. That’s why it’s not a place meant for you. Jesus already made a way for you to be with Him in His peace.
Tonight, as you lay on your bed, take a moment. Give it real thought. If you haven’t come to Jesus yet, don’t wait. If you already know Him, let this be your reminder to share His love with urgency. Someone’s eternity may depend on it.
He already paid the price. Will you accept the gift?
